Fast forward 20 minutes.....screaming child awake! Curt took him to the ER while I stayed back with Bella who had her friend spending the time and my brother who was passed out with jet lag.
It was excruciating to wait on Curtis' updates via texts from the ER. He let me know that it was indeed broken and he'd go over everything with me when he got home.
I wasn't prepared for what followed when he returned home He pulled me into the kitchen and let me know that the reason it broke was because there was a bone cyst there which weakened the bone. This was a game changer because now not only were we dealing with a broken bone, but we would have to follow up with X-rays and MRIs and specialists to see what kind of cyst it was.
As if this wasn't enough, this all transpired 20 hours before we were heading out on our Griswold European Vacation. We had an appointment the next morning with the Orthopedic Surgeon to see if we were still going to be able to go.
| I managed to get a smile out of him for a brief second. |
