Salzburg, Austria

After Garmisch, we headed off to Salzburg. We had all kinds of plans for this city, to include a visit to Hitler's Eagles Nest, but we were met with nasty weather. That, coupled with Joziah's broken arm, we scaled back our plans tremendously. But, we made the best of a beautiful city.

The art of traveling with kids is to start with a kids activity and try to end with one, while sandwiching all the other stuff in between.  So we started with a little Children's Discovery Center

Then, it started pouring so Curtis took one for the team and took the kids back to the hotel, while Mike and I walked around.

We ducked under an overpass to delight ourselves in a chocolate covered pretzel while enjoying Mozart being played by a street musician.

Then, we hit the fancy transport up the side of the hill to the castle.  This was  Mikey's "I love these contraptions" face.
It was super foggy but you could still see the beauty below.

The toilet

Then, we met back up with a kids to try some Austrian cuisine at a local restaurant which had a little kids play area.

It was a fast, but well worth it, visit
