West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village

We have this Anglo-Saxon village literally 7 miles from our house. I've passed it a million times with the intention to go but never made it. Since we are getting ready to relocate, I made it a priority and took the kids one beautiful day. There was a village, a small museum, a gift shop, a cafe and a playground.  We did it all.  The kids were very intrigued and we had a lovely day. In fact, in was so lovely, we had popsicles!  Living in England has so many amazing opportunities to learn about history. I will definitely miss that part of life when we return to the States.

There were areas where they could excavate artifacts.

The village was set up just as the Anglo Saxons had it.

There was even a small museum.

The kids both got to pick something from the gift store----nothing like coming home with Roman Armor from the Anglo Village??????

Butlins- Easter 2018

We really wanted to get away for Spring Break but with our impending move, we were trying to save money. So, we decided we'd spend some time at one of our favorite affordable places- Butlin's! This time we tried the one down south at Bognor Regis. It did not disappoint. The thing I appreciate about Butlin's is its old fashioned, quality time with no distractions. We have so much fun and go from dawn to dusk.
Ready for our 3 hour drive!

I like to surprise my kids on road trips....this time they opened a few Easter DVDs and some treats for the ride down.

First stop, the Mario Kart game.  We spent a lot of time here.

Let the collecting begin!

I planned on doing an Easter egg hunt, but never got to it so I just gave them some eggs every so often!

Mini golf is one of my kids favorites!

We hit one in the water hazard but luckily for us Daddy risked his life to get the ball.

Bella did the ropes course like a champion.
