The Jesse Tree

I was on Pinterest one day looking for new Christmas traditions when I stumbled upon The Jesse Tree.    I had to order one right a way as another new tradition in our family.

The Jesse Tree is an advent calendar that is completely tied to scripture.  There are 25 ornaments with symbols on them.  Each symbol corresponds with a piece of scripture that is tied to the coming of Christ.  It starts with the introduction of Jesse who is the great grandfather of Jesus and ends with the birth of Christ.  Each day you read the scripture and the story that goes with it and then you place the ornament on the tree. 

I didn't get it until late so we jammed in a bunch but Bella and I enjoyed this each night and we had so many great discussions about Jesus.  You can get one on Etsy.
