Ireland 2016- Killarney

Sooooooooooooo, a funny thing happened as we were leaving Galway. When we got home from our full day tour, we arrived to our apartment (around 5pm) and all of our things were gone. Quite alarmed, we went to the front desk where we were informed that we were supposed to check out that morning as our reservation was only for 2 nights.

Apparently they tried to reach us but then when someone wanted the room for the night, they scrambled to clean it. They just threw our stuff into garbage bags and threw them in a wheeled laundry hamper. I forgot to take pictures of the bags.

Anyway, the problem was me! I THOUGHT I booked 3 nights in Galway and 2 in Killarney. But it was actually 2 in Galway and 3 in Killarney which was actually a blessing because we loved Killarney. But, at that particular time, we had a 2 hour drive ahead of us and I had to call the owner of the other apartment to make sure we had the apartment!
Our first day in Killarney started with a horse carriage ride through the Killarney National Park.

We stopped at Ross Castle within the park

We scored and found a Tesco.  I thought it was interesting that there was this little Laundrette sitting outside...especially in a place that rains so much!

It's the little things people, the little things......like riding on this and........
......a can of baked beans.  The boy had to hold them all the way back to the apartment.

The way to top off any day in the lives of our children is a visit to the park.  You can see it in the distance.

Big problem....
Uh-oh
We averted a meltdown by promising to come first thing in the morning. Parenting is fun.
