Ireland 2016-Cliffs of Moher and the Aillwee Cave

We woke up early on Day 2 to take a tour to the Cliffs of Moher and the Aillwee Cave. The landscapes along the way were just breathtaking. It was a grand tour.

Jman was not too keen on the cave.  He's not a fan of the dark.

His sweet sister tried to help him enjoy the tour by holding his hand.  But, it was't successful.  5 minutes after this picture was snapped, Curt took him out.

In all of my travels around the world, I have never been in a cave! I know these look like boring pictures of rocks but it is really amazing how God made this world and the way things happen naturally.

Our future Geologist

The cave was discovered in 1944 by a farmer, whose dog found the entrance and darted in

The tour passed through the little town of Lisdoonvarna. This town has a Matchmaking Festival every September.  It has a long history of matchmaking and people actually flock her to find love.

The Cliffs of Moher are beautiful.  These pictures do them no justice.  We were very excited to find the Puffins.

It was super windy, but our 2 year old just wanted to run the whole way up

The only way to see the Puffins was through a telescope!  There were so many of them.  These volunteers were available to answer any questions any one had about any of the birds.

This cute little Irish lad was happy with his snack
We stopped in a cute little town for lunch on the way back.  Bella wanted to take some photos of the surroundings so Nana became the model.
