Butlins- Day 1

We are constantly trying to come up with ways to spend time as a family. For years, I had heard of this place called Butlins that is a very popular family holiday getaway for the Brits. So, although the Butlins Resorts are all on beaches, we decided to book our mini getaway over President's Day weekend. We weren't able to capitalize on the beach part, but the resort itself was so much fun and not super crowded due to the time period. I enjoyed it so much because it was a one stop shop for families. In other words, we spent the whole weekend partaking in fun activities on the premise non-stop-----no distractions and something for everyone to enjoy. Great memories!
When you arrive, you get this pamphlet of all of the special events happening over the weekend.  We spent the first night trying to plan out the things we had to do.
We stayed in a cute apartment on site.  There are various ones to choose from.  You can even camp if you want.

This path led to all of the fun areas.  We were on our way to discover all the wonderfulness.

Always striking a pose

Outside our apartment

There were photo ops all around

You can pay for all you can eat buffets, but we decided to try out the other restaurants so we would overindulge.  First morning, we had some nibbles from the coffee shop.

In the middle of the resort was a big top full of shops , the center stage, a few restaurants, a game room, a movie theater, a sweet shop, a bowling alley and some rides.

There was a science show going on.

Steady......

This string of beads practically jumped out of the bowl

Games galore

I scored a ton of tickets from a piano game...who knew I was so musical??

Lunch time at one of the BBQ restaurants

More photo ops!

In the back there were outdoor carnival rides and games.  Joziah was too little to ride the big go carts, but they did have  these for him!

Bella and Daddy got to do the fast go karts

Bella found her favorite thing---Bungy Trampolining

Back inside to the little rides

Once this kid found Mario Kart, we could not pry him away

There was even a soft play place

This place has a closing time, so my sweet daughter helped the workers clean up the balls

On our way back to the room, there was a show on the center stage so we stayed to watch a bit

I'd say someone had a good day!

Make that two people!
